If I forgot to answer a gifting request and it was automatically rejected, how can I reactivate the request? Unfortunately, once a request has been rejected you are unable to change the response. If a request was automatically rejected and you are now interested in gifting that creator, we suggest sending them a message through the Messaging Tool asking them to re-request the product.
A creator keeps requesting gifting and I keep rejecting it. Is there a way I can turn off gifting for a specific creator? Yes. Click on the creators’ profile and untick the gifting button. This will prevent the creator from sending any further gifting requests.
Can I change my response or decision of a gifting request after I have accepted or rejected the request? No, once you have accepted or rejected the request it cannot be amended. If you have rejected a request and still want to send the creator the product, we suggest reaching out to them via the Messaging tool.
Creators keep requesting products that we are unable to giftin them. How do I stop them from requesting such products? If your brand has specific products and collections that are unable to be gifted, please add this to your “Gifting policy” in your settings.
Can creators select more than one product at a time? At the moment only one product can be requested through the Gifting tab at a time. However, it is possible for the creator to request several products by sending multiple gifting requests for your review.
I have gifting turned on but no creators are requesting products. How can I increase the amount of gifting requests? We suggest proactively outreaching to creators using the Creator Search and Messaging tool.
Do I have to write a gifting policy statement? You are not required to write a gifting policy statement, however, we strongly suggest writing one if your brand has the following: Price cap on products (ex: you may only select products up to the $X pricepoint), collections/products that are not giftable (ex: Gucci brand is not eligible for gifting) or shipping limitations (ex: unable to ship to the USA).
Can I reject a gifting request after I have accepted it? No, once you have accepted or rejected the request it cannot be amended.
Once a creator receives a product, what is the required timeframe for posting? When creators submit a gifting request, they agree to post within 30 days after receiving the product and use Klarna Creator Platform links.
What happens if a creator receives a gifted product and does not post? If a creator has not posted within 30 days, we recommend reaching out to the creator to make sure they have received their products and ask when they will be able to post. Do note, there are no contractual obligations in place with gifting.
What do we do if a creator posts their gifted product but does not use a Klarna Creator Platform link? We suggest reaching out to the creator via the Messaging Tool asking them to re-post using their trackable links so they can earn a sales commission on any sales they generate. Do note, Instagram Grid posts and TikTok do not allow trackable links to be integrated into a post, but creators can add their link or Creator Shop in their bio.
What to do if creators aren’t replying to my messages about gifting partnerships? If your preferred creators are not replying after multiple attempts, we suggest considering increasing their individual commission and messaging them one final time to communicate the increased commission to further entice them to partner with your brand.
Who is responsible to pay taxes? We need to ensure this aligns with the law in our region. This is mentioned in our creator terms (Clause 7.6) and in our merchant terms (Clause 4.4), so please make sure to follow the rules and regulations in the country where you operate. In the gifting tool we also have written in bold: It is the responsibility of the content creator to pay any applicable taxes for products that are gifted from brands.
How can I change my settings for the gifting tool? You can change your gifting setting by going to Gifting and clicking on the cogwheel.
We can’t send physical products but can offer ‘gift cards’ or ‘voucher codes’ - how would this work? When accepting a gifting request, you have the option to send a voucher code. Meaning you will generate a voucher code in your own system and share with the creator so the creator places its own order. We recommend sharing unique codes with each creator.
